Holiday Generosity

Area business spreads holiday cheer! Employees at Athene worked together to ensure many families were taken care of with gifts this holiday season. Athene coordinated with Brubaker Elementary and provided clothing items and toys for 122 students in Des Moines. Many thanks to Athene!

Fruits & Veggies: All Forms Count

Canned Food Drive

Brubaker’s annual Canned Food Drive will be from November 17 – 21. Students may bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the Food Bank of Iowa. Please help Brubaker in the pursuit to fight against hunger in Iowa.

A Feast of Family Fun!

Brubaker will be hosting a literacy and math event for families. Families are welcome to come to school and be a part of activities in the classroom on November 25th. Kindergarten, First, and Second grades will be hosting from 1:00-2:00 pm. Grades 3, 4, and 5 will host from 2:15-3:15 pm. Please RSVP by November 21st. We look forward to seeing you on the 25th!

DMPS, Parks & Rec Partner for Basketball

Des Moines Parks and Recreation and Des Moines Public Schools are partnering to offer a youth basketball league for the 2014-2015 season. The program is for students in grades 1st through 7th.
