No Cost Meals Available This Fall at Brubaker

Students at 35 Des Moines schools and three learning centers can now eat breakfast and lunch at no cost because of a special U.S. Dept. of Agriculture program targeting high poverty schools throughout the U.S. The move will ensure students are focused on learning and not on hunger. Bell Times Change at Brubaker this Fall

Students at 19 elementary schools, including Brubaker Elementary, will adjust their schedule by 10 minutes this fall. It’s a move that will give bus drivers much needed time to get from school to school. Kindergarten Jumpstart

Kindergarten Jumpstart will be held on July 29th, 30th, and 31st, from 9:00-11:30 a.m. This is a great opportunity for incoming students to get acclimated with new classrooms, teachers, and friends. Students will be provided with lunch. We look forward to seeing your child(ren) there!

Girls on the Run

Students at Brubaker Elementary lined up to receive the assignment they’ve been waiting for since last winter – brand new bikes courtesy of Variety the Children’s Charity and Sammons Financial Group with a little help from the Des Moines Police Department. Hoyt, Brubaker Release Wishes into the Sky

Hoyt Middle and Brubaker Elementary School students released balloons from the outdoor track this week to show their support and good wishes for fellow student, Dakota McDonald, who is suffering from brain cancer.
