Welcome to room 203! My name is Jessica Bartlett. I am very excited to be teaching third grade at Brubaker this year. I was introduced to Brubaker in 2010 when I completed my 16 weeks of student teaching. After substitute teaching for a year and a half and working at Monroe Elementary School for a year, it’s great to be back! I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Simpson College and love the career I chose. I’m eager to work with you and your child to create a positive learning experience. Here’s to a great year!

Welcome to 3rd grade in Room 220! My name is Amanda Eichmeier and this is my third year teaching 3rd grade at Brubaker Elementary. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Family Services degree and later decided to go back to school at Upper Iowa to get my teaching degree along with a reading endorsement. My husband, Scott, and I have 2 boys, Preston and Boston, and we enjoy going on summer vacations to Balsam Lake in Wisconsin. I am looking forward to a great year in 3rd grade!
Hello there! My name is Jenn Hyde, and I’m very excited to join the 3rd grade team at Brubaker! This is my first year in the classroom, but not at Brubaker. I completed my student teaching here in 2010 and it’s great to be back! I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa and later received my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement from Upper Iowa University. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my two girls, Finley and Dallas, my husband Jack, and my dog Lucy. It’s been a crazy start to my teaching career, but I look forward to this opportunity and to working with you and your child to make this a great year!
Welcome to room 218!! This is my first year teaching in a third grade classroom. In 2013, I started teaching at Brubaker as a K-1 reading/math interventionist. Last year, I taught first grade and this year I have the honor of being in third! Prior to Brubaker, I taught preschool in a private setting and I substitute taught for the Des Moines district. I graduated from East High School in 2007 and from there I attended DMACC for my associate degree. I graduated from Upper Iowa University in December of 2012 with a degree in Elementary Education and endorsements in reading and language arts. I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors in my free time. I am very excited to be at Brubaker Elementary. I have always lived on the Eastside and attended Douglas (which is now Brubaker) as a child so it’s wonderful to be back as an educator!
