In my favorite class (art methods) at The University of Iowa, we made art based on our interests and taught each other about many different kinds of art materials. In art room 112, I want students to make. We make up our minds, pictures, painting, pottery, sculptures, and sometimes a mess. It is important to have the opportunity to try the materials, then figure out ways to make them do what you want. Seeing students create and develop ways to communicate visually is very exciting and rewarding to me.
I am thrilled to be one of the art teachers at Brubaker. I love to be in the moment with kids making art and listening to their excited stories about what they are making. Stop by Art Room 112 anytime to visit or help. You can be part of the moment.
