Biography

Hello, my name is Lisa Grudecki. I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I moved to Des Moines, Iowa to attend Grand View College which is now known as Grand View University! I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Human Services in December of 1998 and Graduated in the spring of 1999. I was hired by the Des Moines School District SUCCESS Program in November of 1999. I taught prenatal education and child development through age 5 for over 11 years. Our focus was school readiness. This is the beginning of my 3rd year at Brubaker working at the elementary level. I am proud to work at Brubaker. It feels like a big family here! The SUCCESS Program is here to work with students and families who need support in the areas of behavior, attendance and education. I am here year round…so do not hesitate to call me in the summer! I can assist with referrals for basic needs, housing, parenting skills and mental health. The highlight of my day is watching all of the students walk through the doors in the morning ready to learn!
