Congratulations to the Brubaker students for their selection to the Des Moines Annual Art Exhibit. Thank you to Mr. Ken Esveld for coordinating the effort with students and families.
Brubaker would like to thank Monster Jam for their message to Crush Bullying. Students participated in a powerful, anti-bullying message from Mr. Jeff Knapf and superstar, BJ Johnson, otherwise known as “Mohawk Warrior”.
The staff at Brubaker would like to thank our business partners, community supporters, and in particular, our volunteer family supporters. These 1st graders were given hats and sock monkeys to keep their heads and hearts warm!
Brubaker would like to thank Professional Educators of Iowa (PEI) for honoring Chelsea Wiegmann, a 2nd grade classroom teacher, with a gift of classroom materials, as well as a gift certificate. PEI is comprised of Iowans supporting Iowans and focuses on improving education within our great state.

Our annual Canned Food Drive will be the week of November 18-22. Students may bring non- perishable food items to be donated to the Food Bank of Iowa. This is a great time of year to give to those in need.

Students will not attend school on October 25th. Teachers will attend a district-wide all day in-service training.
