The staff at Brubaker would like to thank our business partners, community supporters, and in particular, our volunteer family supporters. These 1st graders were given hats and sock monkeys to keep their heads and hearts warm!

Brubaker would like to thank Professional Educators of Iowa (PEI) for honoring Chelsea Wiegmann, a 2nd grade classroom teacher, with a gift of classroom materials, as well as a gift certificate. PEI is comprised of Iowans supporting Iowans and focuses on improving education within our great state.

Our annual Canned Food Drive will be the week of November 18-22. Students may bring non- perishable food items to be donated to the Food Bank of Iowa. This is a great time of year to give to those in need.

Students will not attend school on October 25th. Teachers will attend a district-wide all day in-service training.

Thank you to the staff members at Brubaker that donated Blood during the LifeServe Blood Drive. A special thanks to Mrs. Russell for coordinating the event. As a result of your efforts, 32 lives will be saved!

Join us for an evening of costumes, treats, community resources, and family fun! Park in front or behind Brubaker and walk through booths set up by teachers and community members on the north side of the building.

In preparation for the book fair students will view a short video highlighting the great authors that will be showcased at this year’s fair, students will also receive a pamphlet with just a few of the great books that will be available for purchase at the book fair. All money raised through the book fair goes towards purchasing new books and items for the library and the teacher’s classroom libraries. We hope to see you there!
